Scenes From The Hat Can't Post

Howdy, TORnfolk! Today's game is an oldie, but a goodie, and one of my favorites from the days of Old TORn.

What would The Lord of the Rings (movie) be called if it had been directed by someone else? Or The Hobbit, for that matter. Take your pick.

You know, like if Steven Spielberg directed, would we call it Close Encounters of the Third Age? Or Raiders of the Lost Arkenstone?

Ready. Set. Go!

And suddenly the Ainur saw afar off a light, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame.

Bryan Singer -- The Usual Hobbits // [In reply to] Can't Post

For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars, and so on -- while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man, for precisely the same reasons. -- Douglas Adams

"In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat; it was a Hobbit hole, and that means comfort."
