Another Stephen Colbert reference to Tolkien.

I enjoy this one for its subtlety. At a panel discussion during last weekend's Second City anniversary celebrations, Colbert was asked about his performance at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner:
In Chicago three and a half years later, Colbert left no doubt that his recollection of the night is sharp, starting with correcting a questioner about the dinner's date. "April 29, 2006," he said at the Second City reunion, eliciting laughs. "I still wake up with a pain in my shoulder." I won't link to the Atlantic report, because the content overall is political and thus off-topic for this board, but you can find it easily enough by googling a phrase or two from that quote.

I love subtle geek references. :)
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. And suddenly the Ainur saw afar off a light, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame.
