LOTR inspired MUSIC (silmarillion) epic metal

Hey fellow Tolkienites! I've just finished reading the Silmarillion (again) probebly my most favorite of Tolkiens writings. I am a composer from Melbourne Australia and I play in a few bands. The song "Go into the sea" was inspired and had some duel meanings, but the gist is Tuors encounter with Ulmo outside the halls of Vinyamar on the shore line, and his journey to Gondolin with Voronwe. If you like Epic Metal then please follow on to my demo page www.myspace.com/themealsbeastexperiments I'm hoping to have a few releases next year! I hope today opens up the mystery just a little bit more for you! MealsBeast

Ha, ha. You are thrashing, man. What kind of scales are those? They sound a little harmonized, like mixolydian, possibly. I'm a blooz guy, myself. I always thought Tolkien music would be more folksy, like Spitdust. http://www.myspace.com/spitdust

I came across a webpage from Guitar World magazine. I thought you might enjoy it, should you happen back to the forums someday to check on your thread. link
