I received a mysterious email followed up by a phone call in the last few days. I don't know much, all I know is that 'Something is coming' on December 8th, 2009. And that we should be watching this space and www.lordoftherings.net stay tuned for more!
What could it be? Speculate on our boards!

December 8 is close to that movie relaease, and in all due respect, what people really want is a major Hobbit news, not Bones promo push. I`m just sayin`. It probably is Hobbit-related (end of the year sounds like a reasonable time for a major casting news since production starts in March) but I don`t want to be disappointed.
Blue ray would also be disappointing. Anything non-Hobbit casting.

I am so very worried about who is cast as Bilbo! One thing i loved about LOTR's is how most of the actors were unknowns, to me at least. I would jump off a bridge if they cast David Tennant as Bilbo

Not sure that a bluray announcement would warrant so much fanfare. At any rate, I'll be disappointed if that's all it is! I think it'll be 'green light/shooting schedule' stuff. Hurrah!

so I guess that major Hobbit news would revive it as the Hobbit site or something. Pointless to make an announcement there since everyone gets Hobbit news from here. So, yeah, when I think of it, it has to be Hobbit-related. The site will probably get some make-over accordingly.

LordoftheRings.net alive and active. It's all Middle-earth, and it speaks of The Hobbit being part of the larger picture, even though it is definitely a separate work.
