I just saw "I am Legend"- I won't say that it wasn't well-made, but- I felt like something was just missing; it was kind of despressing, actually! But electrifying nonetheless... not your typical Will Smith movie. So what do you think of it? If you are a fan of Will Smith and you want to see it, I'm not going to recommend it... wasn't exactly worth it. Well, anyway, what did YOU think of it? Love, Arwen

'The Last Man on Earth' with Vincent Price in the lead and 'The Omega Man' with Charleston Heston in the lead. The closest adaptation to the original short story 'I Am Legend' is 'The Last Man on Earth' and 'The Omega Man' is just good, dated 70s fun. I felt the latest film had something missing. The story didn't flow as well, there was a lot of jazzing up of the story to make it more of a 'big action type film' and the ending just didn't work for me.

The German shepherd in the ads looks just like my dog I lost a couple of years ago, and I understand she doesn't survive, so I can't watch it.

There were a few great scenes in the movie but overall I have to say that I didn't find anything new there. The CGI was subpar and the ending left something to be desired, imho. It failed rather miserably as an adaptation. As a movie it's fine, but not something I feel the need to own or even ever watch again (maybe if it was on cable and I had a broken leg and couldn't reach the remote. maybe.)

I hate movies that kill off/hurt the animals in the movie, it just isn't right- I mean, I know that in real life, he's a rich doggy, but still.

It about killed me. It was also hard seeing Will Smith cry. I didn’t like seeing Will cry. Good movie, though.

... but I haven't read the book it was adapted from. I found it bleak though!
