FOTR EE ~ Appendices Discussions ~ Book to Script - Early Storyboards - Round up Can't Post

Awww! We finished with the Storyboard section on the EE's ...
I just wanted to say thankyou to all those on the EE's who gave their time to explain the process and give credit to those of such immense talent who brought the films to life for us through this early process.
When this was filmed, the team was then working on The Two Towers and Return of the King ...
so much water under the bridge since then ...
But a timely applause to them all
I take my hat off too you all! ... and all the rest of the behind the scenes people - a cast of hundred!
Thankyou!
Thankyou!
Thankyou!

and pink champagne for everyone here at the wrap party.

A big thankyou for everyone who joined in!

Cheers

oh, thanks for the family album shots... [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, some mighty talented folk there. Kind of their own "fellowship" you know? Those new kids right out of school, someone who had been working with Peter for years, Americans and Kiwis. I'm sure they had to find their own way to bond and work together.

I was glad to see at least one female face in this group, too. Is it the techno-intensive side of this that makes it a mostly male field? Women are certainly as artistic -- maybe they just aren't directed to or don't gravitate as much to this particular kind of artistry?

Lovely discussion week(s), Elven -- you put a lot of work into these and it showed!

Now, go pour yourself some of that champagne, ok? Cheers and THANKS!

Good question .... [In reply to] Can't Post

Im glad Marion got her face on camera - otherwise it would seem a bit 'blokey' ..Wink

I was only wondering the other day about the same issue with the Hobbit. Yes, we have Fran and Philippa at the helm - but where are the girls of the Hobbit?
No names at yet coming from the art department - though Tanya Rodgers must still be there with WETA ...

Thanks weaver!
am eagerly awaiting to join in on the rest of the discussions! Smile

Cheers

*wild applause* Bravo and Thank You!! :D [In reply to] Can't Post

Lookit all of those faces! I studied each and every one of them in your lineup, Elven. What incredible Masters of the arts they all are. What a wonderful fate for all of them to be brought together at this time for this story and these films!

They just warm my heart. BRAVO INDEED!!!

Thanks so much, Elven :D

~Hug like a hobbit!~ "In my heaven..."

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.
