Aussie Island Job

Can't Post

When I first saw this the other day I thought it was an online joke, but apparently it's true. Tourism Queensland is offering this job on Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef "Hundreds of sun-starved Brits, Americans and Europeans have already applied for a $150,000 job to laze around on a Queensland tropical island just days after it was first advertised. But it seems some Aussies are just as desperate for the dream job of Hamilton Island's caretaker, which has been offered as part of a publicity-generating campaign by Tourism Queensland." If you want to know more click here So... anyone gonna try for it. *hugs* Kel x

I'm sure I could manage the blog aspect. However, I am aware of a certain gentleman who already owns the appropriate swimwear, so it would only be fair to offer him the position first.

For in sub-creation, in Tolkien's view, there is a "survey" of space and time. Reality is captured on a miniature scale. Through stories like The Lord of the Rings, a renewed view of things is given, illuminating the homely, the spiritial, the physical, and the moral dimensions of the world." Tolkien and C.S. A programme here in Holland offered to make a very good application-movie for the one who made the best home-video and send it to them. So who knows..... maybe you'll get a Dutch caretaker. It sounds like a great (and comfy warm) job.

but I've checked it out and it's completely legit. If I didn't think my menfolk would kill each other within a day without me around I'd try for it myself, six months paid holiday would really be appreciated at the moment.

but as I've just said to PL, it is completely legit. I guess you could call having to buy your own food and pay your own utility bills a catch, but personally I could live with that

with no dwelling. Perhaps i have assumed wrong. I'd be happy to live in a tent though.

Our very own Pieter van den Hoogenband. Who even used to live in my very own city? Who we still support whole hartedly? Whose parents are still living here in Geldrop? Whose father took care of my crooked knee years ago? The one who will still beat Ian Thorpe, no matter what? That one. Sure..... Well..... He is retired from swimming. So if he wants the job, why not. As long as he returns to us after the job is finished .
