Are you going to do it? I would like to know what there is IN the cup. Is it just flat under that curved dome or is it like a round ball?

I particularly liked the snow scene, with the snowman looking like he was trying not to blow away. They really are lovely.

I like working with felt, so I might take a chance on making one. The remind me a bit of something that I saw on a fair here in Holland. They make Dreamworlds. This is the link to their website. The site is in Dutch. But just click on the castle and than on the second word in the left row (Werelden = worlds) and than on "Meer droomwerelden". And just look in awe. You can take a course to make one. But such large ones take over 70 hours to create. I didn't get to that (yet). But I think such a pin cushion I can handle.

I might have to study those a bit to see if I can do it. I've got several teacups from Mr. Eruvande's grandmother that would work. Thanks for the links!

of my grandmother's little eggshell houses & tableaux. I swore I would get around to making some hobbity ones myself, but, uh...other obsessions took over. I should probably finish the needle-felted things I'd planned to spin into my theme yarns *wink*, first ...and then knit up the projects.

I am a some-time egg artist (as evidenced by my avatar), and I've been thinking of doing an eggshell version of Bag End. Just need to purchase the proper tools. These pincushion teacups are definitely Hobbity!

but not solid. The inside is for instance the cardboard roll inside a toilet paper roll or even the tube from Pringles chips. They look great, don't they. They are based on a ride in a Dutch amusement park (De Efteling), that is a ride through the land of the fairies. Really great to look at. And the castles float in the air (only much bigger than these ones) in one part. In another they have these castles float in the dark (with lights and everything) and of course you travel through the realm of the fairies and even the trolls. Great to be in, my favorite part of De Efteling.

you'll get there before I do, even though I have access to Grandma's supplies and instructional materials. You know we'll want to see pictures even if it isn't finished!
