Andy Serkis’ suit worn for the 2003 MTV movie awards, this suit was worn by the star as he collected the award for Best Virtual Performance and was rudely interrupted by Gollum… The outfit came from a special Barnado's charity sale of 'designer' wardrobe which featured pieces donated by the actors themselves. The suit has a pair of black trousers, red shirt and black patterned jacket all made by ‘House of Hank’, itcomes with a Two Towers postcard with Serkis as Gollum, on the reverse Serkis has written in magic marker '...as worn for MTV Awards 2003' and signed it. It also has two Barnados price tags; one on trousers saying 'Andy Serkis', one on shirt saying 'Donated by Andy Serkis'. A interesting item from a memorable performance!
