I just had to share the following I found during a search for Tolkien items on the Barnes and Noble website: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10. 2009 Transformers Animated Wall Calendar by J. R. R. Tolkien Wall Calendar Reader Rating: Details Usually ships within 24 hours - ISBN-13: 9780768891393
- Sales Rank: 81,341
- Pub. Date: September 2008
Transform your year into a celebration of the innovative cartoon that has captured the imaginations of generations. More ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gosh, it's funny but I haven't seen this announced elsewhere. Why am I always the last to know about new Tolkien works? Is there more to this than meets the eye, do you suppose? a.s.
"an seileachan" "If any one had begun to rehearse a History, say not I know it well; and if he relate it not right and fully, shake not thine head, twinkle not thine eyes, and snigger not thereat; much less maist thou say, 'It is not so; you deceive yourself.'" From: Youth's Behaviour, or, Decency in Conversation amongst Men, composed in French by Grave Persons, for the use and benefit of their Youth. The tenth impression. London, 1672 Call Her Emily

did take over Middle-earth and created an army worthy of Meccano?
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Obviously, JRR Tolkien did not write The Transformers Calendar; it's just a glitch that showed up during one of my recent searches for "Tolkien" and "books" at Barnes and Noble dot com. Someone somehwere at B&N made a mistake. I just found it amusing and thought there were others here who would also find it so. a.s.

When I was looking for samples of the Dies Irae, I found this page on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/...226205658&sr=1-4 You'll notice all the tracks were
Composed by Robert Prizeman with Liberace
I'm pretty sure this is a mistake and they mean to credit the group on the album: Libera. I even contacted them asking if this was accurate but they've made no change. I also had someone asking on another site which EE to buy since he was finding different running lengths for different entries. I did my best to assure him there was only one EE and he didn't have to worry about publication dates or the set (EE or LE). When I worked with a publishing house, we had someone who dealt with marketers like this and Amazon had a bad rep for making lots of mistakes and when they would finally correct it, they'd make another one.
