I did this a few years ago for my son's birthday present.

Normally I do not copy designs but I had this idea see...
The original is about 16x20 and framed such that there's a box behind the canvas. The original is much more subtle (you can hardly see the arch)
When it is lit from behind
the arch is much clearer... This is a freehand copy of the cover art from the ROTK EE.

Nicely done. I would love a present like that.
It just gave me the idea of making a lampshade and when the light was on the arch would light up. Hmmm...

Yes, he liked it a great deal. He was more of a fan back then... now he's into the Joker from DK.
Gift giving between us has always been special. One year I told him I wanted nothing so he wrapped up an empty box, not as a joke but a serious Zen gesture. Another time I said all I wanted were handkerchiefs and pencils... he was the only one in the family that trusted our relationship enough to give me exactly that modest gift. That trust between us is the greatest gift of all.
