But thank goodness he didn't wear a little skirt. That character was disturbing enough without a mini skirt and knee high boots!

to TORN! I've been here a couple of months now. It's been very enjoyable talking about Tolkien with people who know what they're talking about and love the books and films as much as I do!
What exactly was Bakski's Aragorn?? It looks terrible whatever it is! Is it anything to do with those other terrible cartoons made in the 70's or 80's? I stumbled on them on youtube once and was foaming at the mouth so much I nearly passed out!!  Thranduil looked like a damn frog!

That's what is meant with book firster or movie firster - what did you encounter first. Not that it matters much, but it is always interesting to compare first experiences of the story and if they change with the medium.
I do not suffer from LotR obsession - I enjoy every minute of it.
