who will play Bilbo? [In reply to] Can't Post

in my opinion James McAvoy would be the BEST choice.
he has that hobbity look about him, he was perfect as Mr. Tumnus (Narnia), great in the period piece, Becoming Jane,
in the poll archives he remains at the top.

i just LOVE him, i truly hope he gets it if approached.

McAvoy as Bilbo [In reply to] Can't Post

Sorry, a while ago the site said he denied the rumors of him being Bilbo. *Sob!

Still would like Martin Freeman [In reply to] Can't Post

But would be happy for an unknown/lesser known actor. I really like McAvoy as an actor but can't quite see him as Bilbo, but then i wouldn't have cast Elijah as Frodo and I thought he was fantastic!

don't sob* yet [In reply to] Can't Post

i read that too, but didn't it say that the rumor that he had been 'casted' as Bilbo wasn't true?
and that he hadn't been approached yet?
if i'm remembering correctly, perhaps there's still hope Evil

Martin Freeman [In reply to] Can't Post

He's my top choice as well, ever since deej suggested him around here. Most notably he's been in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and The Office.

You can find his IMDB listing HERE.

Love Actually! [In reply to] Can't Post

Sorry Willowgreylockk, I've only just seen your message and thanks to Arwen's Daughter for putting in the link as I can't do that yet!

As Arwen's Daughter said he's best known for The Office and Hitchhiker's but he is very hobbit like in Love Actually where he has several "awkward" scenes!

I choose a mortal life!

hi bearwen! thanks for your reply, don't worry i haven't been on for a few days myself.

i have seen Hitchikers, i'm not sure which character he played, will have to chk. it out. sounds
interesting, especially if you think he looks hobbit like.

Peter Jackson! [In reply to] Can't Post

LOL! OK so don't take me seriously!
Well, if only the Bilbo character was a female. My only living great aunt is hobbit like! She's got lots of curly hair and is about four and a half feet tall and still very cute at about 80 years old! You should see the old wooden house she lives in. It's at the edge of a forest area but on the side of a mountain. She's got a large garden and chickens too!

Arwen's daughter, so sorry it took so long to get back to you
on this. thanks, for sending me to those photos of Martin
Freeman. yes! i see your alls point, he does have the look of
Bilbo about him.
my 1st love still remains J. McAvoy though, but if not him, would
be quite happy with M. Freeman.
