Sam Gamgee vs. The Smurfs Can't Post

Sam is out picking mushrooms one day after he's returned to the Shire when he accidentally plucks some of the houses in the Smurf village. Like angry ants defending their home, a blue horde swarms him. How many Smurfs could Sam survive? Does Sam take out the lot or do the Smurfs win in the end?

NARF since age 8, when I refused to read the Hobbit because the cover looked boring and icky.

I've always found Smurfs a little creepy [In reply to] Can't Post

So I'm hoping Sam manages to take them out with whatever piece of gardening equipment he has to hand!

What's a Smurf? [In reply to] Can't Post

No idea what those things are, but I'm pulling for Sam. I mean, who can stand against those pots and pans???Wink

Looking around Elrond's library...chucking stones in the waterfalls...singing tra-la-la with the elves....yup, life's good in Rivendell.

Little blue gnomes [In reply to] Can't Post

You will find them in the comic books by Peyo alias Pierre Culliford.
Look at the official smurf website: http://www.smurf.com/home-en That's how they look like.

I do not suffer from LotR obsession - I enjoy every minute of it.

Same here! [In reply to] Can't Post

All of those little blue Smurf guys, and only one Smurfette? Yikes!

I too think Sam will use whatever lethal gardening implements he can lay his hands on to take out the Smurfs. They will eventually panic and run away when the realize that Papa Smurf can't handle Sam and that he's immune to the charms of Smurfette.

We're discussing the BBC Lord of the Rings Radio Play on the Movie Discussion - LOTR board.

With caffeine, all things are possible.

The pity of Bilbo will screw up the fate of many.

Sam would prove the victor! [In reply to] Can't Post

Sam would go into one of his trademark terrifying rages, leaving nothing blue within a 5-mile radius alive, as he came to the final cowering and whimpering smurf he would pick him up off the ground with his terrifying hobbit stength and as he teared off each of his little blue limbs he would scream "THAT'S FOR FRODO! THAT'S FOR THE SHIRE! AND THAT'S FOR MY OLD GAFFER!!"

"The city of Osgiliath has been reclaimed, FOR GONDOR!"

Sam convinces Gollum... [In reply to] Can't Post

that the Smuf’s are good eats. Between the two they clear out the village, using two frying pans. One for bashing one for cooking.

May your beer be laid under an enchantment of surpassing excellence for seven years!

Listen. Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!
