Dunno [In reply to] Can't Post

Do they even have the right to film it?

As I understand it they don't even have the right to publish a libretto.

******************************************
The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

I would think it'd be a given [In reply to] Can't Post

that they'd eventually make a recording of the play... if it's possible (referring to Darkstone's post). I'd think if they could make a recording of the music, there shouldn't be a problem with it. I'd definitely love a copy, but why would the petition limit it to UK audience?! Region 1, too, if you please :D

Thanks, Alatar! [In reply to] Can't Post

I signed. Of course I signed! I adore the musical.
By the way, should this message be posted on the main discussion page? I think it might attract more attention there.

Great stuff! [In reply to] Can't Post

Signed the petition, good luck.Me,my wife and children went to London in February for a couple nights and hoped to see the show. But as our youngest was 4 we could`nt see it.We were in the entrance buying t-shirts etc whilst the show was on.All very disappointed so a dvd,in some ways, would make up for missing it.
