lemonade sounds good about now. We feel like someone dumped a truckload of lemons on us. That just means lots and lots of lemonade!

Dreamdeer. Of course your prayers and good wishes are accepted and very much appreciated. We are so lucky to have the support of so many "virtual" friends.

OhioHobbit may be more able to deal with what he really should do with his life when he is over the shock a bit more. Thanks for the offer and the support.

I was recently talking with my aunt and uncle from the Youngstown area, and they had only dire news, so many places shutting down out there. I'm so, so sorry to hear this, this cuts right to the heart! We can only hope and pray that something good will come out of this. These are dark times for you; as Tolkien wrote to his son in the midst of their darkness, keep up your Hobbitry in heart! {{Alcarcalime & OhioHobbit}}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I desired dragons with a profound desire" "It struck me last night that you might write a fearfully good romantic drama, with as much of the 'supernatural' as you cared to introduce. Have you ever thought of it?" -Geoffrey B. Smith, letter to JRR Tolkien, 1915
I'm very sorry to hear that OhioHobbit's been laid off from his job. That just bites! Here's hoping that it will be a temporary state of affairs. Freelancing and contracting can be viable options if you've got the skills. Let me know if you'd like me to take a look at resumes/cover letters/etc. (Been laid off a few times myself -- once with extreme prejudice, once with extreme indifference, and a couple of times with extreme reluctance.)
We're discussing the BBC Lotrd of the Rings Radio Play on the Movie Discussion - LOTR board. With caffeine, all things are possible. The pity of Bilbo will screw up the fate of many.
at this point, I don't think he knows what his dream job would be. For me, I would like to win the lottery so he can stay home with me! Thank you for your kind words.
At the meeting on Wednesday at the employment services, all the former employees looked to be in shock. Most of them had around 20 years.
right. If we had had some warning of this, we could have been planning, saving, and NOT buying things. But as it was at 1:45 p.m. he had a job and at 2:45 he was home and out of work! Thanks for your good wishes.
He needs to go to Helm's Deep for awhile, before he's ready to ride out and meet them head on, so to speak. You can find me there, hanging out around Keep with a spar glass of Rohan ale for each of you, when and if my offer would be helpful... **pulls up extra benches, adds another log to the fire**
that puts me in mind of a festival we went to years ago. It was a French Voyager festival -- you know the French who went out into the wilderness in the 18th century. Well the costume of choice for way too many well-fleshed gents was a loin cloth and leggings. This was not necessarily a good look for all of them!
