Now Ill never be able to read those passages without laughing out loud thinking of you there. Happy birthday, gramma! I didn't get to the ohter thread but I thought of this last night. So just for you: There'd be ice cream for their dinner Sam and Frodo woudn't get thinner If gramma went along Gollum would sit like a log Listening to her tales of Smaug If gramma went along They're off to eat a Blizzard A wonderful Blizzard with grams Because, because, because, because, because Because of the wonderful things she does They're off to eat a Blizzard A wonderful blizzaed with grams

I'll have a cup of coffee, please -- no sugar, lots of milk. Long time, no see, folks! But, bar appears to be the same; and I do recognise the Bartender: nice decorations, Altaira. Hope all's well with everybody: life with a one-year-old goes its hectic pace here in New Zealand. Timmy is progressing from walking to walking very fast, almost running. It is amazing how much good exercise a baby makes sure that you get: I now have arms of steel (carrying); have done more deep knee-bends than ever before in my life (n.b.: while carrying a 20-lb. weight); and now I'm doing sprints down halls.

I just don't like dark beer! Anyway, we're getting (I hope) the last blow of winter here in Pittsburgh today. On Tuesday, it hit 73 and I was cleaning the garage. Today, it's about 35 and snowing and windy. I haven't been around Fiesta Fridays much, as I did have a contract that ran from early October to late February. Once it was over, I was sick. I'm feeling better, so I'm trying to get caught up on various things. Happy Fiesta Friday to all!

Possibly with a green umbrella. No parades here. Don't think there's a proper Irish pub here anyway, unlike the rest of Europe where they're everywhere.

rainy day. The rain is supposed to change to snow this afternoon but I'm sceptical. I'm enjoying my Friday off with no plans for the first time in several years. I went out to breakfast with a friend and just finished watching Stranger Than Fiction. What a great movie! I'd planned on seeing this one in the theater but never got around to it. Happy Friday and weekend all!

I'll just grab some green Kool-Aid in honor of St. Patrick before I have to go talk to my college advisor. I'll take some Dubliner cheese too if there's any. I just discovered it last night at a dance party thrown by my college's Ceilidh Club. But before I go *shifty eyes.... changes jukebox to Gaelic Storm.* YAY! Slainte!

I doubt anyone - Irish or otherwise - minds. Sorry to hear about the snow. We had that nice weather too, and now it's cold again (but no snow). Spring needs to hurry it up and get here!

I was at a local park last weekend and saw a red headed little girl with her red headed younger brother and their dog was an Irish Setter. I asked her if everyone in her family was red headed and she said yes. Thought that was kind of cute. Enjoy your vacation, Kethry!

Doesn't that represent Northern Ireland, who are deadly enemies with the rest of Ireland? Or am I confused here?

I am not seriously late without working really hard not to be seriously late! *grabs hot chocolate* Okay, mint hot chocolate. Does that count? What about mint ice cream? I really like mint ice cream. I think London has a really big St. Patrick's Day parade: *whines* but it's so far away... Yeah, I probably won't go. Anyway, cheers to all, and a happy St. Paddy's day weekend! wolfranger

It's properly spring here - with flowers and everything. We occasionally have slightly nippy days, but no snow! In fact, I've only ever seen snow ONCE since I've been in England. But, that does not stop me from drinking hot chocolate. Cheers, wolfranger

I had to box up my Argonath bookends and Minas Tirith from the EE dvds, and it made me sad *** I think that's nice. I always get sentimental over small things. Cheers, wolfranger
