I know you were just joking, but if you care, you can find out at Flatfoot 56's PureVolume page. I'm glad you had a great time at Winter Jam! I love Christian music festivals/concerts. :)

but I think I'd prefer it black - and then add lots of milk and sweet stuff to make it taste like melted coffee ice cream. Dessert with a caffeine jolt. Yes! It's my day off - or was until a few minutes ago when I got a call from work begging me to come in. Apparently we're so full we're just short of hanging patients from the ceiling, and they're desperate enough to pay me double time. Being a nurse in a nursing shortage ain't so bad. Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to work I go! *happy sigh* The truth is I love my job so much I'd go regardless of the pay!

Happy Fiesta, everyone! I'm not Irish, but we're all green at this time of year, eh? Of course, we're pretty white here today. Once my family all gets home this storm will be really fun and beautiful. My kids are getting out early, so they should be home shortly and that will be a relief. I hate waiting for my husband to come home from work on days like today. We're planning a lovely fire and homemade caramel corn for tonight. In the meantime, I'll take a Diet Coke with lime, please. I could use the caffeine. This is a picture that I took a couple of hours ago. It really started coming down right after that and now we have a few inches and the ground is completely covered. I'm guessing it's coming down at least two inches an hour or more now. The kids'll be thrilled! P.S. I'm on dial-up until next Thursday, so please be patient with me. My Internet access is as slow as a snail and I can't stand it!
(Formerly Lossefalme3, just in case you're wondering)*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Aragorn threw back his cloak. The elven-sheath glittered as he grasped it, and the bright blade of Andúril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. 'Elendil!' he cried. 'I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dúnadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!' TTT, Book III, Chapter 2 And Éomer answered: 'Since the day when you rose before me out of the green grass of the downs I have loved you, and that love shall not fail.' RotK, Book VI, Chapter 5

Maybe a bit dirtier to give it an even greener cast for the upcoming holiday. They do have a St. Paddy’s Day parade here, and I’m tempted, but I’ve always figured it’s too much bother, and crowds make the Troll cranky. Bah, humbug! I’ll just make some corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes and drink some beer; and we’ll do the pinching in the privacy of our own home. Of course, UT always spoils things by not needing to wear green. He is green! Plus, he’s not Irish while I am (partly, anyway). I guess I know who’ll be chasing whom around the house, tomorrow, anyway! Other days, well, you never can tell. A happy weekend to all!
~~~~~~~~ I used to be GaladrielTX, but I lost my TX and an hour over the weekend. Stupid Daylight Saving Time!
How about New Zealand in 2010?
That's the year Jim and I are hoping to do Australia/New Zealand. While we won't know for sure until next year, it's very likely that the World Science Fiction Convention will be in Melbourne in 2010. Yes, even though it will be August (and, therefore, winter) that's when we have to make our trip. We're hoping to go for three weeks total (with at least a week of that in New Zealand). It would be neat if other Tornsibs were going to be in country at the same time. I wonder if we could wrangle a tour of Weta?
