*jingles keys* It's time for FIESTA FRIDAY!!!!

Welcome to Fiesta! I've grabbed the keys, the bar towel, and the great fun of serving you today! They've foolishly given me access to everything behind the counter! THE DRINKS ARE ON ME! :D What has this past week thrown at you!? Hopefully no one has been impacted by the storms swirling around out there. I've been dodging all the big storms *whew*. Do tell what you'd like to have to drink and what your plans are for the weekend.

You've got full access? That's dangerous! I'd love a mug of hot cocoa, please, and a slice of everything pizza (gotta make it healthy, of course). Have you had more snow recently? We're expecting just a bit this weekend, which would be nice, the rain came through last week and melted most of our snow. I've got re-potting to do today, one of my African violets had a "baby" which needs its own home. And my Christmas cactus is finally starting to bloom! And I'd better go put more seed in the bird feeders, got lots of wrens and Downy woodpeckers and cardinals and nuthatches and mourning doves who've been eating voraciously. Have you and your furry friends been keeping warm? And I hope your daughter & grandson are finally snug in their new home!

I seem to miss the worse stuff as it goes north or south of me where I'm planted here in mid-Michigan. Although my local g'son #2 and his fiance went off the freeway in an early evening snow/sleet storm just over an hour south of me. His car and the one they hit as 3 of them slid off the on-ramp were totaled BUT no one was injured, thank Goodness! But I did drive down to get them and bring them home about 15 mins from me. Pockets of the freeway were awful! It was a late night. Losing this car is devastating to him as he hunted for it for years and only found it last October. A mid-80s Crown Victoria b&w retired police car. It's a tank with a roll bar that saved them from getting hurt. Daughter & g'son #1 are getting settled in and discovering their neighbours are incredibly nice and helpful :D How great to have gardening things to do inside this far into winter :D Nice to see some colour, right? And you have the same birdies I do. More colour in the white! Have a wonderful weekend!

What a frightening experience! I'm glad your grandson & fiance are all right, but how sad to lose the car he'd searched for, for so long. I hope it's not too long before he can find another. Thank you for the goodies, gramma! And for the excellent news about your daughter settling in nicely, I wish much happiness for her & her son. Stay warm, and don't do too much shoveling!

We had an impressive electrical storm earlier this week.

As in thunder-that-shakes-the-house impressive. It followed a day of tropical downpours (so we're good for soil moisture for the rest of summer ) and it was lovely to be on holiday, indoors, listening to the rainfall and thunder. Happily, the storm hit at night so the light-show was impressive. :D I'm about to head out for a bike-ride in the morning sun before the forecast high winds hit this afternoon. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Those kinds of storms can be a bit scary, but they are gorgeous! Enjoy the ride - did you go far?

I broke my own rule and cycled on the Coastal Walkway while the summer holidays are still on.

So. Many. People. But it is lovely to see heaps of families with young kids out and about on their little bikes.

Does behind-the-bar inventory. Uh-oh!

No, wait! The problem isn't that stuff is missing, it's that there's *too much* of it. No worries though, gramma. It's understandable when it's hard for folks to get to the Fiesta bar. We'll save it up for later, then we'll *really* have a party. Thanks again for taking the bar. Board migration is probably 5-6 weeks away. I'll be posting announcements at the tops of the boards until then, so look for those, hang in there, and everyone have a wonderful week!!!

How very cool that you've found a way to fix our home whilst we're having a temporary BURP in our day-to-day. A BOT-BURP! Things happen for a reason... and this has been too weird for it to have a great outcome! As the Gaffer would say, "It's an ill wind as blows nobody no good... And All's well as ends Better!" We'll definitely watch out for the updates We'll save up the inventory for a proper celebration when this all settles out. And for and a toast to you for always taking such great care of us! THANK YOU!
