This thing is scary. I have a one-handed spiked flail with a long haft and short chain, and I won't swing it unless I'm wearing my full plate armor with great helm, preferably holding my shield too.

They mention a couple of other weapons, the montante is a greatsword 5-6 feet long, the cinquedea is a wide-bladed shortsword.

You can see mine on the wall above my armor.

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters, these see the works of the Lord, and His wonders in the deep. -Psalm 107

Nice display on your wall!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Now THAT is a scary weapon! Very effective on snagging that pike, but it wouldn't fare so well against a spear or sword. I'd think if you do want to use it against that pike, I'd have a sword in the other hand to use against that (hopefully) disarmed enemy. A one-two punch sort of thing ;)"

In ref to your wall, I have Sting and Gandalf the Grey's staff. The rest of the swords and knives I have are displays of letter openers ;) As Gimli would observe, "Very dangerous over short distances!"
