New season 3 leaks from Fellowship of Fans – possible spoilers!

Fellowship of Fans is finally back with fresh scoops for Season 3 of The Rings of Power:- A casting call has gone out for a “sea captain,” aged 20–25. The character is described as a series regular, leading to speculation that this could be Anárion.
- Sauron will be significantly more violent and menacing in Season 3. Season 2 is reportedly “only the beginning” of his cruelties — which makes sense, as he spent Season 1 disguised as Halbrand and most of Season 2 operating as Annatar. In Season 3, he’ll no longer be hiding his true identity.
- The time jump between Seasons 2 and 3 won’t be as drastic as some have feared. It won’t require any recasts.
- A new faction of Elves will be introduced, along with a book character that’s expected to excite longtime Tolkien fans.
- Season 3 will dive straight into the War of Sauron and the Elves.
- As previously reported, Sauron is also expected to begin forging the One Ring during Season 3. British actors Jamie Campbell Bower (series regular) and Eddie Marsan (recurring) have joined the cast.
- Campbell Bower’s character is still largely under wraps. His code name is Arlen, and he’s described as a “high-born knight.” Many fans speculate that this could finally be Celeborn’s long-awaited entrance.
- Marsan’s character, code-named Dromm, is said to require a Scottish accent and reportedly has a brother — leading many to believe he’s playing the brother of Durin IV.
Now now Bill, you swore this was a battle between warriors, not a bunch of miss nancies, so warriors is what I brought

I'm really hoping that Jamie Bowers will be playing Celeborn. Finally give the elf some much needed love. I'm glad it won't be a huge time skip either. Also, more Sauron is always better. Charlie Vickers stole the show as Sauron in season 2 (And I liked him as Halbrand) so seeing more of him playing the darker side of the character is exciting. I absolutely can't wait to see this season next year.

Well, Bower reportedly does not want to play another villain any time soon, so that makes it unlikely that he is cast as the future Witch-king or any other of the Nazgul. And I can easily see him as an Elf. Celeborn or Glorfindel seem likely. Maybe Oropher, Thanduil, Amdír or even Amroth. Shouldn't we be seeing Galardriel in Lórinand this season?

New Video: EXCLUSIVE: Sauron & Elven Scoops For 'The Rings of Power' Season 3
[02:13]Exclusive: Sauron's main objective and ambition going into Season 3 is now focusing on distributing the rings and finding suitable ring bearers from different races. Well, the Seven are out of Sauron's hands, though that should be pretty straightforward: Seven Rings for the Seven Houses of the Dwarves. One for each king/dwarf-lord. I suppose that there could be further complications, especially with the Seven being controlled by Durin IV at the moment. We should start learning who are the future Nazgûl. Kemen, currently in Pelargir seems most likely. Theo? I kinda hope not at this point. Maybe [Earien] somehow. Ar-Pharazôn shouldn't receive a Ring, but it wouldn't surprise me either. Who knows if Walreg is even still around? And we've yet to (officially?) meet Khamul the Easterling. And there is Hagen, a common Man in Pelargir.
[17:35] Excl: [Cirdan] the Shipwright becomes a major character in 'The Rings of Power' Season 3. About time. We should see the formation of the Second Age Council of the Wise. We have already met most of the principal members. Still missing Glorfindel and Celeborn, but we should be getting at least Galadriel's spouse.
Excl: Jamie Campbell Bower has mainly shared scenes with Morfydd Clark (Galadriel) so far. If this doesn't all but confirm that Bower is playing Celeborn then I don't know what will. Assuming that we're not being trolled!

More leaks from Fellowship of Fans. These are pretty significant ones. I don't have a lot of time, so I'll present them with little, if any commentary: 1. 02:22 - Exclusive: Elrond and Gil-galad will travel to Numenor to request the support of Pharazôn and the Numenoreans in defeating Sauron in 'The Rings of Power' Season 3. 2. 08: 39 - Excl: There will be a scene between Círdan and Miríel [sic] (believed to be in Numenor) revolved around Miríel's blindness. 3. 16:25 - Excl: The main battles this season will happen in Numenor between the Kingsmen and Faithful compared to Middle-earth. 4. 26:27 - Excl: Robert Aramayo plays Elros in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' Season 3 and will be in flashback scenes. Okay, some brief comments: #1. I do not like the idea of Gil-galad absenting himself from Middle-earth in the midst of the War of the Elves and Sauron. That's what envoys are for. On the other hand. Elrond is an excellent choice for a representative. #2. Will Círdan cure Míriel's blindness? I think that it would be better to have Elrond do that, (perhaps with the aid of Vilya, the Ring of Air) to establish his reputation as a healer. I do not like the idea of having Gil-galad, Círdan and Elrond all absent from Middle-earth at the same time during a time of war. #3. Sure, we start the season in the middle of the War of the Elves and Sauron, so why not have the main action take place in Númenor? Sigh. #4. Okay, who didn't see something like this coming? Not that big of a surprise, IMHO. Thoughts and opinions?

I don't like having the main Elves of Middle-earth travel to Numenor, but I am resigned to changes like that. I am pleased to see that Cirdan might actually have a role of some significance; I did not at all like how he was presented in Season 2. I kinda like the idea of having the main action be in Numenor between the King's Men and the Faithful rather than in Middle-earth, but only assuming that in the following season the opposite becomes true. I'm glad to hear that they will actually have a flashback showing Elros, though of course with this and all of these things the devil will be in the details. And, of course, all of this depends on these leaks being accurate.

I especially don't like the idea of two of the Three Rings in Númenor, assuming that the leak involving Círdan is accurate. I'm assuming that Círdan will captain the ship that sails to Númenor in search of aid from Ar-Pharazôn. I don't see any other strong reason for him to be there when he should be keeping Lindon and the Grey Havens secure in Gil-galad's absence. I do agree that sending Elrond to Númenor makes a great deal of sense given his connection to Tar-Minyatur (his twin brother Elros). But the Ringbearers should remain in Middle-earth.

These Very Important Elves do a "I can seem to be in two places at once if I choose" woo woo trick like we saw Galadriel do in the films. Numenor for conversations with the human folks could be such an occasion. If set spies caught a glimpse of the elf actors on the Numenor sets, perhaps the special effects people intend to add woo woo effects over the actors in post production to indicate that "Hey, look what I can do 'cause I'm an Elf, but I ain't really here, suckas!" Well, it makes me feel better. What say you? Come on, guys, there is always hope!

At least we're getting more Numenor focused in the next season which will be good to see.
