The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K in March Can't Post

Maria Lattila for Film Stories reports:

Quote
The Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim is now available digitally to buy or rent, but if you’re waiting for a physical release, we’ve got news of that, too.

A DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UltraHD Blu-ray release is coming on the 3rd March. Disappointingly, there doesn’t seem to be any extras included or at least mentioned in the email dropped into Film Stories’ inbox.

Hopefully, there will be at least a couple of extras (maybe even a commentary track?).

LOTR DVDs/Blu-ray are famous (among movie fans) for their superb extras, especially on the EEs. I know that the film studio/producers/whoever released TWOTR primarily to retain their theatre-release rights for future Middle-earth movies but not going beyond the usual for DVD extras just feels like they're letting the side down.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Special Features [In reply to] Can't Post

Bonus content only seems to be on the Lord Of The Rings: The War Of The Rohirrim 4K Ultra Steelbook Digital 4K UHD . Also, the standard 4K Ultra HD + Digital 4K UHD version does not include a Blu-ray disc.

Product Description

The anime feature, directed by Kenji Kamiyama, is set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films. A sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg – a mighty fortress that will later come to be known as Helm’s Deep. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Hera, the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction.

Bonus Content:
Return to Helm's Deep: History Becomes Legend
Middle-earth & Anime: A Marriage of Creativity
Héra: A New Hero for Middle-earth

UK in March; US in February [In reply to] Can't Post

It looks like the March 3rd release date is for the U.K; Amazon lists The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim as being released on physical media on February 18, 2025.
