WB new Middle Earth movie universe is going the same route as the Mandolorian

You wonder why I compare it to the Mandolorian right? Star Wars hasn't strayed away too much from the Skywalker timeline with the exception of The Acolyte. I think the same will happen here. They will play in the sandbox timeline relative close to the War of the Ring. War of the Rohirrim happened 250 years before, but it's still close enough to the event of Lotr. I have a feeling the War in the North will be animated, but better animation if they are going to make it.

Wait, I'm confused. This isn't a Game of Thrones movie?

with Phillipia Boyens where she said that recently she met to have lunch with 'an elf lord', so I'm thinking that is for the Hunt for Gollum movie and most likely Lee Pace.

Wait, I'm confused. This isn't a Game of Thrones movie? I'm just curious if Tauriel would be brought back. We would see Thorin Oakenshield's surviving companions (minus Balin, Oin and Ori), not to mention Thranduil, Galadriel and Celeborn.

Young Aragorn is a possibility

I think the next movie after Gollum is a Young Aragorn. Then we could have the War in the Noth either in animated or live-action.

I think the next movie after Gollum is a Young Aragorn. Then we could have the War in the Noth either in animated or live-action. I've long been a proponent of such a project, though I think it would have to be produced as two or three films, or as a television/streaming series (which, I think, would fall outside of the rights that New Line/Warner Bros. control).
