i've purchased The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Official Visual Companion by Chris Smith (2024; HarperCollins). It avoids major spoilers for the film while including a lot of background information. At the end, it provides the full, principal cast for the movie: Main Cast Brian Cox ... Helm Hammerhand Gaia Wise ... Hèra Laurence Ubong Williams ... Fréaláf Hildeson Luke Pasqualino ... Wulf Lorraine Ashbourne ... Olwyn Benjamin Wainwright ... Haleth Yazdan Qafouri .... Háma Shaun Dooley ... Freca Michael Wildman ... General Targg Bilal Hasna ... Lief Janine Duvitski ... Old Pennicruik Jude Akuwudike ... Lord Thorne Chrisopher Lee ... Saruman the White* Miranda Otto ... Éowyn * With permission from his estate Saruman is voiced by Christopher Lee using existing audio from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy ADR records. IMDb also lists Carlos Damasceno as Orc Warlord, and Alex Jordan as Lord Frygt.

is perfect casting. He's an excellent actor. I liked him as the villain, William Stryker in X-Men 2 (which is my favorite comic book film) and as the uncle in Braveheart. I think he will a good addition to the Middle-earth Cast. Its awesome having the return of two LOTR alumni as well such as Eowyn and even now passed from this world, Christopher Lee as Saruman. I wonder if we will see a tribute to Bernard Hill since he passed this year. Very excited for this film, as soon as the tickets are on presale, I plan to grab them.
"Keen, heart-piercing was her song as the song of the lark that rises from the gates of night and pours its voice among the dying stars, seeing the sun behind the walls of the world; and the song of Lúthien released the bonds of winter, and the frozen waters spoke, and flowers sprang from the cold earth where her feet had passed."

One of the supporting characters in The War of the Rohirrim is evidently an Orc named Shank. Shank is one of the 1:18 scale figures from McFarlane Toys for the film. He is the smaller of the two Orcs pictured on page 86 of the Visual Companion. This might be the Orc who asks "What does Mordor want with Rings?" in the trailer.

You can see a more detailed version of Shank the Orc, his friend Wrot and the snow troll at GW https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/setting/middle-earth-strategy-battle-game/ They are releasing a lot of stuff on WotR.

Thanks! Wrot must be the other Orc shown in the Official Visual Companion.
