spiky evil crown Can't Post

I know spiky evil crowns and other such headgear are par for the course these days for dark lords but I do like what appears to be an effort by the show to recall Tolkien's own illustration of Sauron. I've taken this image from the wiki site on Sauron and it's a water colour by Tolkien, showing Sauron's last physical manifestation, moments after the destruction of the One Ring and moments before he's dispersed by the wind.

Morgoth's crown [In reply to] Can't Post

I also like it. It's something of great evil of the former predecessor. I think at least for the cinematic side of things, Morgoth's crown is like his own version of Sauron's Ring. Not the same, but still something of great evil that belonged to the former Dark Lord.

"Keen, heart-piercing was her song as the song of the lark that rises from the gates of night and pours its voice among the dying stars, seeing the sun behind the walls of the world; and the song of Lúthien released the bonds of winter, and the frozen waters spoke, and flowers sprang from the cold earth where her feet had passed."
