This is actually a different graph than the one I mentioned in my other reply, but it's still mind boggling either way!

Glad that the topographical gods have you in their favor! But that's sad to hear about the deaths already. And I hope the livestock aren't too impacted everywhere.

The Gandalf tidbit is one I'm not sure if she remembers from the films (apparently she *has* seen them, but quite sometime ago to the point where she's mostly starting anew). So we'll see! But definitely, will post updates as we go along. Hehe. Btw, which puzzle did you go with (maybe I missed upthread in this lively FF!)? And that stinks about the rain, yet again! I was just talking to some east coast friends about how mild this winter has been for you all, certainly in terms of snowfall. I know gramma just got some in Michigan at least, but you coastal folks are in need of a good foot of snow! Maybe February will bring some...

Such smooth, soothing singing, is there anyone who didn't love The Drifters! We get 500 piece puzzles for mom-in-law (although she can do the 1000 piece with help from the rest of us). We've got one that's a goldfinch on a flower stem that we'll be taking the next time we visit. What are the scenes on the ones you picked up?

the train will win out, as we tend to do just scenes with buildings, or lighthouses! But I just took another look at the cover: it's a Fall scene, not Summer. Still, lots of color in it! From mid-Massachusetts on up, they've got snow. I'm wondering if we'll get hit with a strong March blizzard, we've had bad ones in that month!

Sounds like that was one happy puppy you were dog-sitting. He must feel very comfortable with you. We dog sit for my brother and his family and love it. Love the song! Some very good ones were posted throughout the Fiesta thread this week. Fun! Have a great rest of your weekend

to the back door, not far along the path into our patch of forest. This sort build large underground nests with just small openings in the ground, so it's easy to (literally) stumble upon them. Mr Kimi went out after dark and laid bait around the nest, which we've found to be effective in the past. Next he'll go for a careful prowl around the property, looking for suspicious holes with wasps buzzing around nearby. We're rather astonished that they didn't get drowned in the downpour!

fare worse in the medium term! Red capsicums - nice and sweet. Shop ones at the moment, though I have some coming on nicely in the garden.

We had to wear head torches - no lights on the trail. No ice, just rather muddy in parts including a really squelchy section. Just got in the car afterwards and drove back to London, where my friend's OH had cooked us pasta. :)

Hope it pleasantly passes the time! My mom's been working on an Edgar Allan Poe themed puzzle I got her awhile back: the scene is a large mansion, in which a couple of dozen vignettes play out in the rooms, each one riffing on a Poe story. It's delightfully macabre and not something she'd normally do. I'm sure it feels like the clock is ticking until a big-ish one strikes! Hopefully not an infamous one that gets named, but still enough to make it feel like a winter after all.

no large expanses of anything boring! Don't know if you can look them up online, but the company is called Corner Piece jigsaws and the scenes are Harbour View and Cobblestone Alley.

when they go away somewhere that's not dog-friendly or have a full day out, so he's quite at home here, which is good. Nice for me too, I have the fun without the permanent responsibility!

There's nothing harder to do than to play hide n' seek with a virus or germs. I hope this passes quickly and that you're back to doing your thing very soon... but be patient with yourself. Take the time you need to get past this and not have that lingering fatigue that wants to take hold. Hang in there!

I can't do puzzles with open food in them. *salivating already* I gain weight just looking at them *shakes fist at metabolism* Maybe your next puzzle should be one of my Mom's favourites... as closeup of a pile of hay with a needle peeking out from inside. ;) I saw your post on the murmuration... I'm still in a head-shifted serenity from it ;)

That's a long time for this junk to hang around. Good on you for encouraging Wifey (a Queen!) to get out and spend time with her friends. I really hope this all passes on quickly. You weren't specific on how you wanted your Bailey's... so I set you up. The Bailey's Brownie a la mode should do the trick! ;) Take care!

This makes me think of the onslaught of rain that hit California. A whole season of rain all at once! The damage and the mold afterwards not to mention the danger of the flooding waters is so scary. I'm glad it hasn't hit you!! Hopefully this is the last of it so people can recover. And I hope your weekend at work wasn't as bad as it looks like it could be. Hang in there!

Oh, I'm with you on not disturbing a sleeping doggie. *smile spreads* Such a furry form of contentment! I hear you on getting the family stories. I scribbled most of her stories during our phone call. My Aunt lives a 2-hr drive SW of me and will be 85 in a couple of weeks. We've already pledged to have a day of just telling stories. She said I could tape it all, so I won't spend a lot of time trying to take notes. In fact, I'll probably run 2 recorders so if one acts up, there's a backup. I did some tapes of Mom and me just chatting away during several visits... and they're massive treasure now. I hope you had a great weekend and are enjoying a great week! :D
