In a few days there will be a BIG announcement (big for me, at least) that is not-Hobbit related. BEFORE anyone starts wondering the usual "how does he have time?, Is this detracting form The Hobbit?" etc It is a project that started over 2 years ago, before The Hobbit and will render fruits in the mid-term, not intruding on my Hobbit duties. Rest assured. The key letter is "D" Best GDT

At least, I presume that's what the good news is about. It sounds like a fabulous project! It gives us something to look forward to post-Hobbit.

"big D" once or twice but, alas. Josh Wigler at MTV Movie Blog asks "...have we seen the last of 'Hellboy'"? Strange, they didn't mention current commitments. Consider that nonsense preempted.

I think it is Deadman, Del Toro producing and there was talk that Arcel (from Denmark) is directing it. But that is maybe dated.. Arcel also wrote the script for Mænd der hader kvinder, a great film. With Del Toro 'only' producing it, there will probably be no interference with The Hobbit. About midterm - Is there such thing when making The Hobbit? Really looking forward to Deadman, with or without Del Toro onboard.. (But I prefer Del Toro on board, he did great things to Hellboy) It was the only comicbook that I liked as a kid. It had that great feel and atmospere. And the look of him.. a superhero that isn't a superhero. And with the excistence of the great being (was it Hara Kushna? Rama Kushna) of the universe it has some lovecraftian background, although it is a comic book. Well I'm rambling.. Conclusion - I'm looking forward to it. ____ Don't blame my spelling

GDT's head knew he should say 'no' to the invitation, but his feet said 'yes!yes!yes!' don't panic folks, its all going to be done with motion capture via satellite from WETA studios in New Zealand. he's a multi-tasker

Just kidding, of course. Congratulations in advance on what I'm sure will be another interesting project. You do keep yourself busy, don't you? P.S. With someone else, I would think 'the key letter is "D"' means "D" for dollars, but I don't think that is the case for you. And yes, I mean that as a compliment.

I might actually watch 'D'ancing with the Stars if GDT were doing performance capture via WETA. Each week it could be a different creature, or better yet, they could cg Astaire and Kelly in there. Really show those other contestants a thing or two. or NOT! GDT, congrats on having big news to share, that's always fun.
