1. With Smaug dead, pizza joints were open for business again. 2. Where's a good place to order pizza around here? 3. Scraping together enough change to tip the pizza delivery elf. 4. They let him pick as many mushrooms and pickled artichoke hearts off their pizza as he wanted to, to put on his own. 5. That he procure some more rooster sauce before the pizza gets cold.

1. Matt Smith signed up for one more season of Doctor Who 2. Recording of the latest of Coronation Street. They are SO behind! 3. Rebraiding their hair. Nori's alone took a few days! 4. Play all his favorite theme songs. 5. That they make special mention of just how majestic his hair is.

1. What news does Roäc son of Carc bring the Dwarves that causes them to spring up and caper about for joy? Smaug is dead ...so they'll be less smog in the air I try 2. In response to Roäc’s tidings, Thorin asks him to do two specific things. One is to bring the Dwarves news of any people or armies that draw near to the Mountain. What is the other thing Thorin asks of Roäc? To brush his majestic hair, of course 3. Several days pass between that conversation with Roäc and the arrival of the Elves and Lake-men at the Mountain. What is the main task at which the Dwarves labour hard during this interval? Building a wall Apparently Thorin has been reading Robert Frost..."Good fences make good neighbors." 4. Thorin’s mood is particularly grim on the first night that the encampment of Men and Elves is moved close to the Gate. What do the other Dwarves do to soften his mood? Sing and play music Awww so sweet! I want to see Kili dance! 5. Thorin refuses Bard’s request to parley and tells him that if he wants to speak again with Thorin, two conditions must be met. One is that the arms of Bard and his men must be laid down before they approach the threshold of the Gate. What is the other condition? Get rid of the elves! No Thranduril. He said it with his best (Council of Elrond) Gimli impression

1. What news does Roäc son of Carc bring the Dwarves that causes them to spring up and caper about for joy? Ding-dong, the dragon's dead, the dragon's dead, the dragon's dead. Ding-dong, the dragon's really dead! 2. In response to Roäc’s tidings, Thorin asks him to do two specific things. One is to bring the Dwarves news of any people or armies that draw near to the Mountain. What is the other thing Thorin asks of Roäc? Send a message to Dain, and fill him in. 3. Several days pass between that conversation with Roäc and the arrival of the Elves and Lake-men at the Mountain. What is the main task at which the Dwarves labour hard during this interval? Exploring, cataloging the treasure (which warms my accountant heart), and of course Thorin is looking for the Arkenstone. 4. Thorin’s mood is particularly grim on the first night that the encampment of Men and Elves is moved close to the Gate. What do the other Dwarves do to soften his mood? Hmmm.... arrange his hair? I think they talk about life on the Lonely Mountain after the kingdom is restored. 5. Thorin refuses Bard’s request to parley and tells him that if he wants to speak again with Thorin, two conditions must be met. One is that the arms of Bard and his men must be laid down before they approach the threshold of the Gate. What is the other condition? Thranduil must go! No stinking elves! Thanks, Ro!

1. What news does Roäc son of Carc bring the Dwarves that causes them to spring up and caper about for joy? Oh, I should know this one.... He brings the glad tidings that Thorin has won Dwarf Girl magazine's 'Hottest Hair' award. 2. In response to Roäc’s tidings, Thorin asks him to do two specific things. One is to bring the Dwarves news of any people or armies that draw near to the Mountain. What is the other thing Thorin asks of Roäc? To take a lock of his hair to each of the editors of Dwarf Girl magazine in gratitude. 3. Several days pass between that conversation with Roäc and the arrival of the Elves and Lake-men at the Mountain. What is the main task at which the Dwarves labour hard during this interval? Building a big ol' screen to protect Thorin's newly-awarded hair from the sun. Yes, it looks like a rock defensive wall. 4. Thorin’s mood is particularly grim on the first night that the encampment of Men and Elves is moved close to the Gate. What do the other Dwarves do to soften his mood? Hair-braiding party. 5. Thorin refuses Bard’s request to parley and tells him that if he wants to speak again with Thorin, two conditions must be met. One is that the arms of Bard and his men must be laid down before they approach the threshold of the Gate. What is the other condition? Thirteen copies of Dwarf Girl magazine, complete with the center poster of Thorin's hair. That's one copy for his sister, Dis, who was forever dipping the ends of his hair in inkwells and tying it in knots, one for each of his nephews for inspiration (and to further annoy his sister), and ten for himself.

I deserve fierce smackings and whackings on my poor tender head. 1. News of the Dragon's death. (And some nifty coupons for BOGO dinners at The Olive Garden) 2. Send a messenger to Dain (He also enclosed one of the coupons as an incentive) 3. Building a wall in front of the front gate. 4. Play music and compose odes to his hair. 5. The Elvenking needs to withdraw completely. The ruckus being raised by women chasing around the elf prince is distracting.
Before kids, exercising with LOTR meant listening to the soundtrack while I ran. After kids, exercising with LOTR means having an all out dance party with the little ones to the "Break the Dam Release the River" disco mix form the Lego game.
