Although I'm not sure, with that one loss, but then I haven't quite figured out how the final standings are scored. Is there hope for them continuing on?

Here you go:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. broccoli florets
1/2 to 3/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dill weed
1 tsp. celery seed
Optional: Other seasonings (chives, tarragon, etc.) or very finely diced onion
2 loaves Pepperidge Farm extra-thin bread, white or wheat, or similar very thin square bread
Butter, softened
Cut the broccoli florets from the stems. Using a food processor or other chopper, finely chop them; this should produce about 5 c.
Mix in enough mayonnaise to make the broccoli spreadable. Then add the seasonings; taste, and add whatever else you think might be good!
Cut the crusts off the bread. For each sandwich, butter a slice of bread and spread it with about 1 heaping tablespoon of the broccoli mixture; top with another buttered slice, and cut the sandwich into triangles.
Makes about 30 sandwiches.
It was a lovely service, and we were glad we'd prepared a lot of cookies and sandwiches, her relatives were "catching up" with one another for a couple of hours afterwards!

We always have fun even on the phone. She's SO much like my Mom. They were always very close amongst their siblings (5 in all). You know how family members can be unique at times ;)
