LOTR! (big shock), outdoors, reading in general, music
First Lord of the Rings reading experience:
Well, I read the Hobbit, then The Silmarillion! I read LOTR last. So it was very cool to me to see all the references made to stories I'd read in the Sil. Of course, I'd seen the Rankin/Bass cartoons (both) years prior so I knew how it ended, but it was great to finally see how they got started.
Favorite Tolkien character:
Depends on the day. Luthien (self-confident and determined). Eowyn (reaches a point where she can choose to love a life different than the one she originally thought she wanted)
