24 years! Yes, next year will be the big one, but I felt like partying today with all you enthusiastic TORNfolk I've come to know. Here are a couple of items to jog your memory, and please do add more of your own. The boards are moving great today! A New Zealand perspective from today: https://www.rnz.co.nz/...nema-and-new-zealand That very very exciting night in London:

The whole journey must have been especially amazing for NZ LotR fans, as well as the country as a whole. It was amazing for book fans everywhere. I remember. It was only in the weeks before the premiere of FotR that I started to let myself get excited about FotR. Until then I tried to keep my hopes in check by learning as little as possible about this adaptation of my most loved book by a little-known director in New Zealand. When the positive reviews and hype started, I was encouraged. Then, after seeing FotR and mostly loving it, I happily jumped on the train and have been riding it ever since. One of the great benefits of that ride was the opportunity to learn about beautiful New Zealand and its people.
