Yesterday, Amazon shared a video on their social media accounts featuring the crown of Morgoth, confirming that season 3 is officially in production.
However, filming didn’t just begin—principal photography has been underway for over two months, as confirmed by Charlotte Brändström in an interview from May 30:
"I think we're just going deeper—deeper into the characters and the drama. I've actually been shhoting all day, So I've been up since 05:00. I'm in London right now, so I'm working on it right now and I can't say much, except that I think it's going to be a really good season."

So be prepared for a 2027 release and growing so old before Season 5 is released that even Elves notice the passage of time.
