He's been doing a lot of voice work with Audible and has just released his second novel, The Cut. Here are some notes from the interview on Newstalk ZB, or you can click on the 'Saturday Morning with Jack Tame' audio clip half-way down this page and scroll through to about 1hr10min to listen to it - https://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/...ning-with-jack-tame/ * The Cut is about a group of teenagers who have graduated from high school; one girl dies and a classmate goes to prison. Present day: a filmmaker returns to the village to make a found-footage horror movie. * "I've been narrating a lot of authors' work, then Audible asked if I'd be willing to write a crime thriller of my own." That book is Geneva. * The stories are written for audio, and the books are a bonus extra. However, both his novels have now been optioned for adaptation, which he finds surreal. * He's working with Audible on book three. * "I'd never written anything longer than an essay for my A-levels. It turns out I do have a half-decent turn of phrase and I think I've picked that up from other audio books but also screenplays. I think I've got a bit of a toolkit now." * He thanks Peter Jackson for his vivid imagination. "When we were working on The Hobbit on the pure green-screen set he'd come in with his amazing child-like imagination and describe everything that was happening around us, and that triggered something in me."
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Fantasy novel - The Arcanist's Tattoo My LOTR fan-fiction
