Outside the edit window now, but I looked closer after reading Meneldor's comment, and TFN uses an older version of XenForo which was superseded in 2017. XF2 is still being updated and is used on most forums I visit that have moved away from phpBB, vBulletin, etc (I'll admit I still have a bit of a soft spot for phpBB from my time as an admin :P).

I evaluated many, may forum software packages, including XenForo and all the others - paid and free - mentioned in this discussion, and settled on phpBB. None are "perfect," including phpBB. Some are better at generating ad and other income than phpBB, but that wasn't in my list of priorities.
Not all that long after that, most of the world made it moot by moving to Facebook, Discord, etc. Forums are today's dinosaurs.

-- leastwise, it's not listed as an option in their features that I've seen. Threaded mode is something we've had from the first days of tOR.N, so a forum without that functionality is a non-starter, no matter how many other features it manages to have.
We certainly appreciate your efforts in looking into options! If you have any analysis of what forum software packages meet or fail to meet various of the criteria Altaira collected, I'd be very interested in seeing that information.

Please let me know what goes on, and if there is any financial way for me to help. I’m a very well miss this information about how to become a part of any new boards, and I would miss my home greatly.
