From Deadline: "Andrew Richardson (Ponies) has been cast as a series regular and Zubin Varla (Andor) and Adam Young (Masters of the Air) as recurring in the upcoming third season of Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which recently began filming at the Amazon MGM Studios series’ new U.K. production home, Shepperton Studios."
Given Richardson’s resemblance to Maxim Baldry and his status as a series regular, my guess is he’ll be playing Anárion.
As for the others: Varla could easily portray a character like Khamul or another future Nazgul. I could see Young as either an Elf or an Orc. Since both are in recurring roles, I expect them to be playing original characters. (Sure, Khamul is technically canon—mentioned in Unfinished Tales—but he has no real backstory or characterization to speak of.)

And how is the addition and the official confirmation of a regular cast member "trivial"? The former post is about a leaked rumor, this is the real deal — two different things. Also, this is the long-awaited confirmation that S3 is filming.
And if you're going to be snarky, steer clear of this type of posts.

I'm tired of seeing snarky comments every time news is shared about Rings of Power. I can understand if you don't like the show, but you were just sharing some official news.
I enjoy seeing the addition of new cast members. It often makes you wonder if they will be main or not as main, much like it when we had Mirdania and Valandil.

Not to harp on this, but the title of the previous thread was general enough to include the latest news as well. That said, thank you very much for the update.

Especially sometimes when old threads tend to die and be forgotten about. I see no issue with this new thread and don't think you are copying me at all.
I'm sure we will have more new actors appear on this season, so I am sure this will happen many times.
