A poem about the wise among the elves, and those mere mortals who are fortunate enough to cross their paths
| Elves and the Doom of Men (poem) | Can't Post | |

Elves and the Doom of Men I stand and stare at you
An imposing figure Tall and ethereal Secure and confident To you, I am but a fledgling Clumsy, foolish New to this world Lacking in understanding You are a deep fount of knowledge A vassal of wisdom Oh, to have your years To call my own To have your knowledge To which I can glean For knowledge I seek But also wisdom What is wisdom Save for experience? What is knowledge Save for age? Yet I have neither age Nor experience What I do have is limited My experience is lacking And yet I thirst Like a man in the desert Longing for the wisdom For the time I have left.
 My writing and novels:

 My Hobbit Fanfiction

My historical novel print and kindle version

My historical novels ebook version compatible with all ereaders

You can also find my novel at most major book retailers online (and for those outside the US who prefer a print book, you can find the print version at Book Depository). Search "Amazing Grace Amanda Longpre'" to find it.

 Happy reading everyone!
