LOTR was in my prime teenage years and I became a "geek" for Middle Earth. Today, a lot of the fans of The Hobbit were barely alive when they came out 10-12 years ago, so it would seem that TH definitely attracts a younger crowd of fans who don't quite understand what all the hype was about LOTR and how big they were. They just simply love what they are seeing on screen today with TH and like the lighter, family friendly tone that will turn heads (or take them completely off  )
