It's only about two inches across, tattooed on my upper left arm, where even a short sleeve will hide it. I got it in Wellington in 2008 at the same shop where the nine Fellowship actors (well, eight actors and Brett Beatty) were tattooed.
I thought long and hard about this and finally decided to go ahead and do it, since I've loved Tolkien since the 60s, too. And when you do the math, you'll see that I'm already (brace yourself!) pretty far along in years.
