Why would settlement of this litigation potentially affect slot machines and theme parks, etc., but not future development of the films? Is it because past litigation has already settled that point? And what's the chance that Tolkien Enterprises could win (which I sort of hope they do), but that they would settle for stopping new exploitation of Tolkien's stuff (the aforementioned slot machines and theme parks) but continue to allow the LOTR Online game, which has been around for six years already, and it would be a shame to shut it down now. (Although it would certainly free up a lot of my time. )
