It would be cool to see the mature King Dain fighting along King Brand--what an epic scene that would be! But if they show that in TH then that would mean more death, and the audience (including myself) may not be able to take any more deaths, heroic or otherwise. I'm already stocking up on Kleenex and pocket-handkerchiefs in anticipation of TaBA.
