Most projectors have a scaler which can provide a type of "on the fly" reformatting. My concern with the HFR3D is PJ's comment that you have to get used to it. (paraphrased) Just like some people don't like 3D or get a headache although some eye doctors say that people who have a reaction to 3D may have an undiagnosed eye problem.
