at best theres probably a few paragraphs in the lotr appendices and hobbit book regarding the 'other stories' in the quest for erebor!
do you think this is enough to go on, considering he may not be able to tap into unfinished tales/silmarillion/history of middle earth info due to them not having film rights for these books?
