I'm getting distinct Balrog vibes from that track, or at least more Dwarven history material. I think the suggestion of there being multiple flashbacks could be right. The prologue could set up the Dwarf/Goblin wars, Thorin's flight from Erebor in Bag End ('Axe or Sword' on the soundtrack) and then one discussing the Balrog. Personally I'd save Smaug's attack on Erebor for the beginning of The Desolation of Smaug. Maybe we could just hear about Thorin's experiences without seeing Smaug in AUJ.
