be that it has been forged out of the same meteor than Anguirel and Anglachel, and possibly forged by Eol ? It would explain its ability to kill a dragon in one shot, just like Aglachel, renamed Gurthanc in the hand of Turin, killed Glaurung in one strike ?
Of course it's not written anywhere, but it would be a good explanation IMO
