Classic Tolkien. You can feel the absence of the obsessive rewriting that LOTR's received, but still, it has the "tone" and music of Tolkien's best prose & verse. This takes the sting out of having zero interest in The Hobbit movie! So, what's left? Tolkien's prose "Beowulf" and "The King of the Green Dozens"? It's sad to think that we might be coming to the bottom of that deep, deep well...
