"You kids get off my lawn!" - I mean, "Trouble With The Curve"

Just making a little fun of the fact that Clint Eastwood seems to play only one character in his old age, much as it seemed he did when he was an action hero. But, in fact, I really enjoyed "Trouble With The Curve" because it wasn't just about him. Amy Adams plays his daughter, and the film is about their relationship, not just him. She's not as good as he is, but she does pretty well. The writing is very good, I thought, in the way it draws character through the lens of baseball. Justin Timberlake plays the love-interest/Daddy-substitute, and he is always fun to watch. Although, frankly, I didn't believe for a second that he had been a major-league pitcher. The "surprise" ending is really cool and most satisfactory, including the fact that it actually had been telegraphed earlier in the film.
