Words of the Wise is an 11-page adventure for starting out players, written by Dominic McDowall-Thomas with Francesco Nepitello. The setting is near Rhosgobel along the western eaves of Southern Mirkwood. Although I'm not familiar with the core rules at this time, the adventure is well-written and seems well-suited as an introduction to the game for new players. It requires not just battle skills, but also common sense and some amount of diplomacy. If there is anything lacking, it is the limited number of races and professions available in the core game--something that will be addressed in future suppliments. I suggest going to the Cubicle 7 website and checking out this free adventure for yourself.
