Andy Serkis did it by paying Smeagol at the start of film 3. Before that all he was was a gob of spit in TTT. PJ and a lot of the crew had cameos and I think it would be obvious for BC to do one, too. He's so elfy and the fans would love to spot him, so I hope they do have a cameo for him!
