The Tolkien Society has a group based in London and the Home Counties. it's called Northfarthing, and meets twice a month; the first meeting is held on the first Saturday of the month in a pub called The Penderell Oak in Holborn from 7pm onwards (sorry; too late for this evening's Innmoot - I've only just noticed your post). The second monthly meeting - the Smialmoot - is held on the teenth Sunday in the month, at the home of one or other of the smial members. The next one will be on the 19th Feb.
I say 'meetings' - actually, these are very informal get-togethers with friends, to chat and _sometimes_ 'talk Tolkien'! I jest - though there have been times when I've had to not-so-gently steer the conversation back to talk of the Professor and all that. Do let me know if you'd like to know more (though I'm afraid I can't let anyone have details of the next smialmoot 'over the air' as it were - these are held at members' homes, as I've just said).
