how come I missed those wolves? [In reply to] Can't Post

I hadn't noticed the wolf-howling -- neat!

I liked the trees on either side of the door but not knowing what a holly tree looks like, I didn't know they were actually that variety of tree -- also neat! I always liked Gandalf's little lament for those trees in the books, after the Watcher tore them down. But I suppose that a tree eulogy would have come across as a very odd thing to say in the films, in light of Frodo almost being swallowed by a giant water monster...

Hadn't thought before about Boromir doing all that Frodo catching -- I just figured that he was the biggest and strongest of them and so it made sense for him to be the he-man of the group. It does make you wonder why he didn't make a grab for the Ring one of those times -- but then again, there was a lot of other stuff going on that would be rather distracting, like people falling into the abyss or dangling from tentacles...

So glad you are doing these for us -- GOLD is a nice feature to look forward to every week, and your comments are fun to read!

Right now, also, GOLD and SCOD are running pretty close together in terms of FOTR scenes -- it's interesting to have these two different perspectives on this part of FOTR going at the same time...
